real life

I had been looking forward to a few moments with this boy for a while.  And I got my opportunity.  While I was in Bulgaria last month, I stayed with my friend in their new awesome apartment.  There were windows everywhere and the light coming in was lovely!  So one morning I took my camera out and told Victor we were going to take some pictures.  He wasn’t thrilled because my plans were clearly cutting into his plans to play that morning.  So I had to resort to other methods to get my pictures.  There was little bit of bribing.  And a little bit of give and take.  We played a few games and I had to, absolutely had to, see that day’s performance of Victor’s Puppet Theater.  Twice.  But you know what – it was ok.  Actually I think it worked out best for me.   Because I love the photos I take during moments like that. Because they are sincere and true and honest.  They are not posed.  They are real life.  And mom loved them.  The whole point to what I am saying is that you can’t make a child smile when you want them to and how you want them to.  So you have to take what they give you and love it and enjoy it.  You have to smile and laugh with them and they will give you the best smiles and laughs back 🙂

But I have been talking too much.  Let’s see some pictures.  (And Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!)
