I fell in love. With taking pictures. It happened shortly after I bought my first DSLR camera in the hopes to improve my personal photographs. And it all has snowballed since then. It's been an amazing and fun journey of constant learning and endless hours of studying. And I've only barely, barely scratched the surface. But that's the fun of it.

I love photographing people and their faces. Take a look around my site - I hope you enjoy my photographs. I hope they bring a smile to your face, excitement in your heart and butterflies in your stomach. Because that's what photographs do to me.

take the first step…

Captain(ess) Morgan’s 1st birthday!

Yes, I will admit, I slacked off a little bit these days and am behind on my posting…. but this post is worth the wait.  Because little Morgan turned 1 and we all celebrated her birthday with a wonderful party with family and friends, with jumping in the pool, opening presents, eating good food, lots of laughter (and a few tears) and, of course, a cake (actually 2).  But all’s well when it ends well – and this party was a wonderful celebration of Morgan.  And she WAS a star.  In true star fashion (and just like Cher), she did change outfits several times.  But what is a star to do?  She must remain fabulous for all of us to enjoy!

sky diving…

“if at first you don’t succeed … sky diving is not for you.”:)(David Williamson – a friend – who’s given me a lot of  help and education in my photography journey – so a big thank you!)

About the photograph above - Damon and I went camping recently on Mt. Charleston and on the way up the mountain we stumbled upon this pair of wild burrows.  It is so easy to miss them because they blend in so well with the environment – amazing!  I was afraid that the mom may charge at us if we got too close so I stayed in the car and Damon was driving on the side of the road, backwards since by the time we saw them we had passed them, trying to give me a good position to take a couple of shots.  So thanks honey bun:)

all about the girl…

As promised, it’s all about the girl today!  I am so happy that Treasea went along and played with me.  I love outfits and bright colors, I love make up and hair and she did it all that day.  And had fun with it.  So let the curtain open and enjoy the show!:)
